Peabody Huggins Mechanical is looking for an experienced HVAC Service Technician who is strong technically, great with customers, and wants more autonomy and earning potential than a typical HVAC position.

What We’re Looking For
This is a service, diagnostics and customer-facing position. We need someone who can independently diagnose a system, explain the problem clearly to a homeowner, present repair or replacement options, and confidently recommend the right solution.
Strong hands-on experience with:
- Gas boilers and hydronic heating
- Gas furnaces and forced hot air
- HVAC service, troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Central AC and heat pumps
- Controls, pumps, zone valves and thermostats
- Sheet metal and ductwork
- No-heat/no-cooling calls
- Repair vs. replacement evaluations
Massachusetts Sheet Metal License and/or Gas Fitter License are a major plus. EPA certification strongly preferred. Additional HVAC, plumbing and manufacturer certifications are also valued.
Who Will Do Well Here
You’re a strong technician who actually knows the trade, but you’re also comfortable talking to customers. You don’t need a script to sell. You earn the customer’s trust, diagnose the problem correctly and aren’t afraid to recommend and ask for the work when it’s appropriate.

Compensation: $45–$55/hour + bonus/incentives | $100K–$140K+ potential
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
