Responsibilities

Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, furnaces, boilers, and ventilation equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
Conduct system inspections to ensure proper operation and compliance with safety standards
Perform maintenance and repairs on existing HVAC equipment, including refrigeration systems and appliances
Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams to facilitate accurate installations
Utilize tools such as ohmmeters, welding equipment, and other mechanical instruments to troubleshoot and repair systems
Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and property maintenance tasks as needed
Ensure all installations meet local codes and safety regulations while providing excellent customer service

Qualifications

Proven experience in construction, HVAC installation, or service technician roles with a focus on residential properties
Strong mechanical knowledge including refrigeration, plumbing, boiler systems, and ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable
Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, and equipment repair techniques
Field service experience working with air conditioning units, appliances, or property maintenance tasks
Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters and perform welding or mechanical repairs confidently
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience driving drivers preferred
Knowledge of HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration) systems is essential
Additional skills such as mechanic experience, property maintenance expertise, or boiler operation are advantageous
